They need books too!
I got this in the mail today and I thought I’d share it with all of you.
“Hi, Everyone! Here’s another way to help. You can share your children’s books, textbooks, references, etc.
Two channels:
1. The NBDB, on behalf of the Department of Education, is asking for book donations for the 218 schools in flood-affected areas. The DepEd is not asking for textbooks but for books for libraries and reading corners, like children’s books and reference materials, especially dictionaries. Please drop them off at the DepEd’s main office at the DepEd Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City. Call Evelyn Pormento (+632) 633-7202. They are open on Saturday mornings too.
2. BOOKLOD: Share your books with those who lost them to Ondoy. Text Raina of UP Manila at 0917-7911390. http://bit.ly/1ify27
Kindly forward to your friends.
Thank you!”
There will be life after Ondoy and this is a great way to help those affected, particularly the children, gain a sense of normalcy again.
Hope you can help!
Isha.
