CONGRATULATIONS, VEEJAY!
A huge congratulations goes out to designer Veejay Floresca, who bagged one of the highly-coveted awards at the recently concluded 47th Japan Fashion Design Competition. Veejay was bestowed the Senken Shimbun (The Japanese fashion industry’s daily paper) award and nabbed highest honors amongst the foreign entries for his PINOY ROBOT design. This dress, according to veejay was inspired by a robot and the barong tagalog. Veejay took home a certificate, trophy and a sewing machine worth $1150 as his prize.

Congratulations also go out to Tracy Dizon and Nicole Mori who displayed their remarkable Filipino talent in the competition. Out of around 2,500 applicants worldwide, only 72 were chosen, Nicole, Tracy and Veejay among them.
