Style Cam is shopping for a new toy and the nice folks at JVC showed us their latest (barely over a week in the market as of press time). The PICSIO is the tech brand’s pocket-sized (read: tiny purse-friendly) camcorder. Here are the specs that have piqued our interest:

• -High Definition video recording at a resolution of 1440×1080 pixels, which, based on sample videos in youtube, is pretty clear even at night or in low-light conditions.
• -It takes still photos at a resolution of 8 megapixels, which keeps it at par with most of the top ranking point-and-shoot digicams around.
• -Its battery can be charged via USB like an iPod.
• -The memory is expandable with an SD memory card but it has a built-in flash memory of 256kb.

• -The design looks sleek and the color options are sophisticated.
• -The glittery,  faceted backplate is nice and disco.

The price tag is P11,999, cheaper than many digital cameras, and it’s currently available at Mobile 1. It’s a neat little party toy, don’t you think?
