Received such lovely gifts today!
First, the invitation to attend the VIP launch of the newest club in town, Palladium at New World Hotel, came with a single red, long-stemmed rose.

Then I received a chicly wrapped black gift box with a contrasting pink bow from designer Kristel Yulo. (Note to self: must try this gift wrapping style!)

Inside it were individually wrapped cookies in flavors like butterscotch, maltesers, chocolate chip and dark chocolate Toblerone. Yum! They’re by katebaked.

…we’re addicted to love, at least as far as this week’s concerned. Cupid’s day is around the corner–you can almost smell the googly-eyed anticipation… and the building traffic–which means, you’re either A, giddy with excitement, or B, blissfully “unaware” (no, it’s not just Friday the 13th this weekend). I’m sure most of you fall somewheres in between, but also still stress the importance of this holiest of girlfriend holidays. Of course. It’s the one day where all the estrogeny stuff in the world is celebrated–must embrace!

If you’re “free” this weekend (see, I’m using my euphemisms), find time to do something that makes you feel ab-fab, like a facial, spa treatment, or even some charity work in between all those showings of Confessions of a Shopaholic. You might even want to take in some pro beauty tips, you know, just to vamp things up a bit. Lancôme Paris Colour Expert Maris delos Reyes will be at the brand’s counter at Rustan’s EDSA Shangri-La on V-day (yes, that’s this Saturday the 14th, you naysayers) from 3-7pm, just to help give you the makeover and one-on-one attention you so deserve.
