Brunch: Dim Sum in HK or Shanghai! Charcuterie set ups with local mongers…. glorious!

Drink: Ciroc vodka -on ice. –freshly squeezed grapefruit juice + Belvedere. tart & bitter Seville oranges.. fresh pressed apple juice… beers brewed by trappist monks in Belgium..

Eat: anywhere there’s love in the food…. pho on the streets of hanoi… hue food spreads in a buddhist temple… raw vegetables from the garden; straight into your mouth… white truffles… fat crispy/ chewy/ greasy NY pizzas.. NY bagels…tennessee BBQ.. canadian maple… perfectly tempered swiss chocolate…. glorious stinky cheeses… oaxacan tamales… tinola & crispy pata in the ‘ppines! singapore chili crabs! MANGOSTEEN!! Cebu mangos.. late summer georgia peaches that juice down your face… California avocados!! -proper artisan bread,- with the delicate crispy crust, shiny/ moist insides with a beautiful irregular crumb.. In-n-Out animal style burgers!

Escape: COUCH TIME! with T.V! & clean blankets & magazines & cocktails!

Brunch: I’m not a brunch person. I’m more a afternoon high tea person and that would be at The Lobby at the Peninsula in Hong Kong.

Drink: Bubbly champagne and most recently, Grey Goose Apple in Halo(because I don’t get bloated and I feel lighter in the morning)

Eat: 59 in Rome. Just off the Piazza del Popolo. Chesa at the Peninsula, Hong Kong

Escape: Firenze, Italy

Read: Lucky, Vogue(America, French & British), Philippine and Hong Kong Tatler

Listen: Lady Gaga, Adele, Karen O

Watch: Cinema Paradiso

Indulge: A really nice vintage Rolex

Shop: Bergdorfs in New York

Fashion: Vintage Valentino, Roy Gonzalez(old world glamour)

Aspire: Stylish eccentrics like Little Edie from Grey Gardens and my paternal grandmother(she would go to church in the 1950s with dyed red hair, red lips and a white dress purposely late..she’s a recluse now and never leaves her room.)

Charity: I support all my mother-in-law’s charities! Amblyopia Children in China, Child Friendly Centre in China, Schools for the Poor, Operation Smile

Dream: I am living it right now.

Accessory: I love Rafe’s designs because I can choose anything from the collection and I can’t possibly ever go wrong. I am always beguiled! You beguile me, Rafe! Yes, I am biased, so sue me! ;-)
I had a serendipitous moment last night…when the bag fell on my head. Then I knew I made the right choice…

Drink: I hate anything sweet. Depending on where I go out, I always order something refreshing. It’s definitely better for socializing.

Eat: Bar Pitti or Indochine

Escape: I turn off my blackberry.or fly to Miami. The sun is re-energizing and the perfect winter get-away from NYC.

Read: Zink, V, Spur

Listen: No favorites, but I grew up listening to my parent’s music like Led Zeppelin. I guess I never grew out of it, only more into it. Sometimes I wish I grew up in the 70′s.

Indulge: Celeb gossip

Shop: I don’t think I could list them all! Obviously shopping in Soho.I just went on a mini spree at Curve on Mercer this weekend.

Aspire: Kate Moss. I envy the way she manages to make everything she wears look effortlessly put together and never like she’s trying too hard.

Fashion Splurge: I have a weakness for YSL and can never have enough Dolce.

Charity: Children and animals have the greatest innocence and the purest hearts…they need to be protected and cherished.

Accessory: I name my handbags and my favorite right now is my Rafe black patent tote bag. It fits everything, I swear! I call her “Bon” because she was my Bon Anniversaire present right before I left for the Cannes Film Festival.

Rafe Loves…You!

Can I tell you…about my new blog called, Rafe Loves. Over the years of designing accessories I’ve been very fortunate to meet some truly stylish individuals, some are friends and some are acquaintances. On my website and on the Rafe Facebook company page, I have hundreds of photos of people both of greater and lesser fame wearing Rafe accessories. As a designer, nothing is more satisfying than seeing your designs worn by your customers. I love seeing my accessories incorporated into their personal style and the varieties are endless.When I started my blog several years ago I started including photos of them in my blogs. Inevitably I would get inquiries about who they were, what they did, where they shopped and dined,etc. People wanted to know more about them. So I decided to create a blog to celebrate these fabulous individuals, their style choices and let them tell their own story.
So the next time you happen to be wearing your favorite Rafe accessory, take a picture and send it over. Not only would I love to see it but I’d love you…to tell me…about you!
