Photo #10 is Ayala Ave. if I am not mistaken while Photo # 9 is definitely Avenida (now Rizal Avenue, Manila). Photo # 8 is Quiapo Church. Photo # 6 is Lawton (now Liwasang Bonifacio). # 5 is somewhere in Old Binondo. Photos 1 – 3 are of Escolta if I am not mistaken.

Photo # 7 is Roxas Blvd. I think it was called Dewey Blvd. back in the day.

I am a baby boomer and I grew up in Malate near Taft Ave. and I remember the acacia trees that lined the streets, the escolta where we would go shopping and SM when it started was just a small store at the corner of Avenida near Ideal theatre. Ten centavos is what it will cost one to ride a jeep. For the bus it is 25 centavos. Soft drinks is ten centavos too. I saw the total eclipse of the sun when I was in third grade in 1959. The Beatles performed in the Philippines for one day but was mobbed by the crows at the airport because they snubbed Imelda.

rejoinder hehehe, 1st pic- view from jones bridge going to Divisoria ,plaza cervantes at the right side end of Escolta where we can find until today,the famous savory chicken house that upto now maintains “aged” waiters serving customers…hehehe.
2nd pic- Escolta, the building at right where the famous Sylvel’s shoes are found ,but, it’s close now.
3rd pic – cant identify hehehe
4th pic – maybe at Quiapo area
5th pic – View from mc arthur bridge at pasig river ,where we can see the tallest building PNB escolta,now Manila City College.
6th pic – Luneta Park ,Skating Rink hehehe
7th pic – Roxas Blvd.
8th pic – Plaza Calderon /Plaza Lacson where we can see the Sta Cruz Church
9th pic – Avenida Rizal ,less LRT , still we can find those bldg.standing
10th pic- Ayala ave.
11th pic- Maybe Intramuros,though ive graduated my BS at the vicinity of Intramuros hehehehe. am not used to roam around hehehe

the 9th picture is in Rizal Avenue, Manila. There’s no LRT yet.
I wish our generation experience that wonderful city…
