PS1

I have always wanted to visit the PS1 Museum.  I have been hearing only wonderful things about the place and now that I had to opportunity to be in Queens, I was finally able to do so. It’s a branch of the Museum of Modern Art and the whole museum was once a public school building, hence PS1.  As you enter the museum, you are greeted by a gigantic courtyard with an installation piece that changes every season.  This season, it was a like an enormous hair-like pavilion that would not feel out of place in a Star Trek movie!  LOL!  It was creepy and odd and absolutely perfect for the Halloween season. LOL!

When we entered the museum, I found the place really cool, since they retained much of the public school feel with the putrid green walls and the like.  I love museums and I often say that given the chance, I would like to live in one.  Surrounded by this much art is always food for my soul.  For this, I am grateful.  If you love modern art, this museum is for you.  If you like strange images that play with your mind, come and enjoy the ride!  It’s really worth the trek down to Queens!

Even the stairs leading to the exhibits had art. No space was left untouched!
