One of my favorite musical plays of all time is going to be staged in Manila!

Rent is an iconic piece of theater for me. I can really relate to the material. I maybe dating myself here but it reminds me of the time I was living in NYC. I listen to the libretto every now and then and I never get tired of it. I remember when it first opened on broadway it really changed the face of theater.

Please save the date! February6! It will be an ART EXTRAVAGANZA!
Check the list of artists that have come support their fellow artists to reach their dreams. This is one of those situations where everyone wins! The list of artists is pretty impressive! A mixture of National Artists and upcoming names that are rocking the art world so to speak.
The images of the artworks will be on the web site
www.asianculturalcouncil.org so that all of you can just view it from there. We will be having previews on February 4 and 5 at the Finale Art Gallery.
Please support the arts! It is the soul of our people!
HUGS!

I was so excited to finally try out The Goose Station. I have been hearing so much about this new restaurant by the husband and wife team of Rob Pengson and Sunshine Puey. I actually have been waiting for this chance for about a week. The Goose Station is one of the hottest tables in Manila now; they are open for dinner and are closed on Sundays. Since it’s not such a big place everyone seems to be jockeying for a table.

The goose station!

Rob and Sunshine are such a dynamic duo, I had the chance to see them work their magic the whole night and it was like a tango of talents! BRAVO is all I can say!

Can I just say that Rob Pengson is just so cute! LOL! Here he is in action!
So was it all worth the wait? OMG! It was better than I expected! The Goose Station surpassed all my expectations! I loved all the small tiny details that they incorporated in the meal. I would sum up my experience like snuggling up to a really luxurious cashmere sweater on a chilly day. It was comfort food on a level that was mind boggling! LOL!

I am so excited to blog about this because I am probably the only blogger who has behind the scene shots of the recent Michael Jackson tribute video done by the Cebu inmates! I am quite sure that if you’re able to read my blog you know what I am talking about! I mean it has like a gazillion hits on Youtube!
Well now the inmates have gone several levels up by having the choreographer Travis Payne and principal dancers Dreis Reed and Daniel Celebre teaching them and showing them the moves! I was so fortunate to actually see the video before it was released, the best part about it were the cool stories and photos that led to this magnificent historical event.

I just had to share some of the good little somethings that just arrived inthe
House of Laurel! After seeing all those beautiful ladies at the
Golden Globes wearing the most exquisite jewelry I am happy that my friend and supplier
Rodina Velasco just delivered some goodies today! I tell you her items are so HOT that in less than an hour I had them flying out of my store. I had to keep some of them for the blog! LOL! Looking at them just make me happy.
Come over and check them out!

One of my great passions is interior design. I spend so much time and money buying magazines and books on the subject, often much more than fashion related items. Each time I see a gorgeously designed furniture piece, I begin to palpitate and get all so very excited! This heart palpitation happened again quite recently at the opening of PLC107!

I love the original travertine stone on the building! I wonder where one can get them now?

I just want to share with all of you some good news about my dear friend Robin Tomas who is a fashion designer in New York. He was one of the designers chosen for the SUPIMA Design Competition. It is a super big opportunity for young designers in NYC as they are given the right exposure in the industry.

I had to split my entry on St. Luke’s because of their Health & Wellness program. The theory lies in PREVENTION. From what I understood, instead of going to the hospital just when your ill, you go once or twice a year to prevent sickness. I thought, “that is such a cool idea!”

The lobby! I really am feeling all of these travertine stones! NICE!

I am still on this magical high from yesterday, so forgive me if I ramble a bit in this post!
Yesterday was our official launch of my “W” line for Wharton! I decided to have a trunk show instead of a fashion show because I wanted an immediate connection with my customer. I loved the intimacy that I experienced with the clients and I can get immediate feedback on the products so that I can make the next collection better.

When I drove up to the entrance of SM Makati I saw this! LOL! I was like OMG!

I had the good fortune of visiting one of the most impressive medical centers in the entire country! The St. Luke’s Medical Center just opened barely two weeks ago and it made my heart soar!

The entrance reminded me of a cool and modern mall!
