Alexis and I having a really nice dinner!

Very cool interiors from the indoor Market

My friend Mike Ching enjoying the winter sun!

The Gansevoort interiors. Its a cleaned up version of florent but I miss the grit and I definitely miss the food!

More interior shots!

The bar!
Honestly, I would not bother making a reservation because it was not really that great! I mean the food was normal and nothing really to blog about! LOL! Although the staff were really nice but the food was a waste of time.

My Huevos-Rancheros! Pwede na! But I had much better versions in the city!

Our Brunch!

The Alexander McQueen store was near by! Naiyak ako!

I actually felt so bad when he died! I cried when I saw the video of Bjork at the Fashion Rocks! We really lost a GENIUS! Rest in Peace!!!

After that I had a drink at the St. Regis bar called The old king cole! I liked it there! They shot several movies in this bar and It is a great way to cool your heels after a long day of shopping! er....Working pala! LOL!

The appetizers were a dream! I love sweet breads! I order each time its on the menu!

The fresh salmon carpaccio was also very good! It was very balanced, and just yummy!

I had some winter kale soup--the type of soup that warms your heart!

Some of us had the green salad.

The cod was also divine!

I had duck confit which was very good! My lola serves it exactly the same way, with red cabbage. Now isn't that fancy?

Panna cotta!

This dessert was called the financier! I liked it! It tasted like short bread with lots of yummy winter berries.

The casting was perfect! Noel, PJ, Tunting and Artus!

Great times!

The Spread! Since my cousin is one of the bakers in whole foods, we had a whole foods pot luck!

The early birds! Liza, Tata, Kyle and Jeff!

Liza who works at Harpers Bazaar was rocking her Muppet chubby fur coat! It was really cool!

The shoe line!

Kyle is going to be a contestant of the latest season of Survivor! How cool is that?

Liza!!! Gives me a wink! I wish I had more photos but after a few drinks I forgot to take photos na! LOL!
Every now and then, you come across special spaces that leave you inspired. I recently encountered one of these spaces recently and I just want to share this with all of you. It is called the CROSBY STREET HOTEL! I was brought here by my friend Bam Mendoza, who is an interior design student here in New York.

I loved the outdoor seating. The minute I spotted the head sculpture in the lobby, I was like WOAH!!!! What is this place?

Bam calling the troupe to head over to G!

Topher Fabregas shortly showed up followed by my gorgeous friend Teresa Herrera who is here for fashion week!

Then my darling PJ popped in just in time for dinner! PJ, Me, Teresa & Topher.

Another shot with Bam in it!

Boqueria was really full that evening and the ambience was fun and festive!

Lots of super yummy cheeses!

The Tapa's guy making fresh pan con tomate!

Me and Teresa cuddling up for warmth! I love you sweetie!

PJ and Teresa get cozy!

The bar set up!

Fruit and nut bread with some Manchego!

Dates wrapped in bacon!

Croquetta's! Anything deep fried is really good no? YIKES!

I loved these! Green peppers fried and salted!

OK! I can feel the Sangria kicking in! LOL! By the looks of it I can see my friends feeling it too!

A squid salad!

Pork belly cooked in a "HAMONADO" style on top of winter vegetables! This was really really good!

Huevos con Lentejas. Lentils and and fried egg on top. Simple and satisfying!

Then the paella came out! I found it salty and overwhelmingly thick! I wish we did not order it anymore! It was just not good! Good thing the company was better!

A cute couple on their first date at the next table! I heart chelsea! LOL!

Noel finally stopped by for a visit. Here he is with PJ! I am so proud of my friends. Noel is the private chef of Dustin Hoffman while PJ is the stylist of the famous Tinsely Mortimer! NAKS! Pinoy Mafia in the house!!!!
I am off to New York City! One of my most favorite places on earth! I decided to try out another airline because it was faster and well, a whole lot cheaper. I took Delta Air Lines which was actually great!

My seat on the plane! It was really comfortable, although the tv monitors were like so small! LOL!

The table was so elegantly set up!

A hand written Menu was just lovely!

The wines were all from the GIMBLETT GRAVELS vineyard! The CRAGGY RANGE chardonay was really something to talk about! We all wanted to take a case home! It was light, lovely and just beautiful!

Chef Stephanie Zubiri brought out the appetizers starting with the one bite moulle-fritte. ( not so sure on the spellng? LOL!)

This is the company of Stephanie Zubiri. She primarily does home catering and parties. She can also cook for you at her home. Please call +639178308393. It's a super chic way to entertain!

Here is the chef explaining her food to all of us!

I love the flavor and the texture of this appetizer. The soft tender meaty mussel and the crisp potatoes is a magical combination. There is something quite addicting to this dish, one is simply not enough.

Then came out these triangular philo's with a sweet filling. I found the philo a bit heavy as I am used to the light as air and flaky crusty philo.

I loved this Salmon roe dish! It went so perfectly with the Rose' wine that they were serving. The wines that evening were SPECTACULAR!!! It was such a great experience for me because I am not so well versed with wines. The great thing was that I was seated right next to the man who owns the vineyard that makes the wines so that was really great! I learned a whole lot that evening.

We started out with this super amazing salad made from Jabugo Ham with some micro greens, walnuts, manchego and a truffle honey dressing! It was SUPERB!!!

Then we had a" Risotto" but Stephanie used a risonni pasta instead which gave her risotto a new spin. She served this in a champagne cream sauce with some light herbs and then topped it off with some caviar and the most juicy grilled scallops! I LOVED IT!!!!!

Some sorbet to cleanse the palette.

Then the main dish came out! I could not eat anymore at this point! LOL! So I gave my Foie to another guest LOL! I loved the super creamy potato but the balsamic beef was just too sour for my liking. It was a really pretty plate thought.

Oooh!!!!! French style dessert! Fruit, cheese and salad! Me likey! LOL! I love ending my meals this way!

Oooh! Some chocolate truffles that almost disappeared immediately good thing I caught a photo of it! LOL!

A final food shot of the evening, some creamy panna cotta with berry compote on top! NICE! We ended the evening in their TV room, watching my FAVORITE Show! American Idol! LOL! Now that is how one caps off the perfect dinner! Thank you Leo and Marielle!

My table mate David! He owns the vineyard and brought all the wines! A very charming man indeed. Thank you so much!

Marielle, Stephanie and Nix!

Leo with Stephanie's excellent crew! SALAMAT!!!!!
I am off to New York City! One of my most favorite places on earth!
I decided to try out another airline because it was faster and well, a whole lot cheaper. I took Delta Airlines which was actually great! The flight had a lay-over in Narita, which I loved because I love Japan, period. So any chance I get to go even if its just the airport I am happy.

My seat on the plane! It was really comfortable, although the tv monitors were so small! LOL!

The table was so elegantly set up!
