Brazil has been one of my dream destinations ever since I could remember. It just bears this mystery and excitement, to me, each time the word rolls out of my mouth.
We decided that we would spend 3 days there and just concentrate on Rio de Janeiro. OMG! Just typing it makes me excited! LOL!

The view outside the plane showed the bright lights of the city of Peru!

Our guide wanted to take us back to Barranco because he felt we should see and appreciate it during the day. It was a good thing because there were so many things that we missed.

Pretty Peruvians! LOL! Their coffee here in Lima is really excellent.

Peru is very proud of its cuisine. I have been reading so much about their food and their restaurants that I was so excited to finally try some of it. I did not consider the food in the last restaurant we ate as it was all deep fried and greasy. ( I can get that anywhere! LOL!) We ended up having lunch at this beautiful restaurant called HUACA PUCLLANA.

I woke up bright and early today and was really psyched to have an excellent day! It is Palm Sunday and we all decided to hear the 7am mass. When I travel to a new destination, all my senses are on a high level. I try to take everything in and generally get inspired.
We walked to the church and the weather was so wonderful! Think sunny skies but with a gentle breeze to accompany it. Let me show you how I started my day.

Wandered about the hotel and saw the breakfast room. Simple, quaint and lovely.

Right after we had breakfast we decided to check out the market scene. If you’re Pinoy you would understand that shopping is our number one priority! LOL! Often this comes first on our agenda before any sightseeing. We asked the concierge of our hotel for where the Indian market was and they said that it was quite near. So we all decided to walk there; with a map in hand our adventure began.

The "Tropa Chika" gang walking in the streets of Lima!

I have always believed that the soul of a place can be best found in its local market. Each time I travel to a new place I try to seek out their local market to find out what the people buy and eat. We asked Raul our guide to take us to the market and what we saw was really something really special. The Peruvians are very proud of their cuisine. Check out what they have in their local markets!

Take a look at the beautiful colors of the fruits this senora is selling.

We got into Lima at midnight and since all of our body clocks are now in a confused state, we decided to check out the party scene. Peruvian’s apparently party late and we were all so delighted to find out that they only come out to play after midnight.

Our car dropped us off in front of this church, which proved to be an excellent landmark.

One of best thing about America is their OUTLET malls! They have the best deals and really the best merchandise! I love outlet shopping because just like everyone I love a good deal! My cousin was kind enough to take a day off and take Nix and I all the way to CABAZON! The last time we went there it was really good! This time it was not that great, but it was fun just the same. I found a great pear of jeans, which is impossible for me to find in Asia because I have a Western body! LOL! ( In other words….BIG SIZES!!! LOL!)

The view to the outlet mall!
