There’s something about men who dance that really well, makes me smile! I found this video on youtube and it immediately placed me in a great mood! The rains today also made me smile as Manila really needed it to cool down! I just want to share this all with you and perhaps this will make you smile(or smirk?! LOL!) Have a nice long weekend! Been looking for a quick beach get away! Wish me luck!
I just want to announce that the “House of Laurel” family is growing! I am in need of a couple of bright energetic people to join my team! Listed below are what I am currently in need of and I just want to put the information out there. If you’re interested please send me your CV and your portfolio. I’ll be scheduling the interviews soon!
I know that this might be a bit late but I still want to let you know about this new photography exhibit at the Silverlens Gallery. The show is a collaboration with 4 artists , two of whom I know well and the other two I would like to know better! LOL!
Last year my darling friend Stacy Rodriquez interned in my company and we had such a great time! I knew that she had a really good eye for fashion! I just received an email announcing her new collection and it looks beautiful! I love it!
My best friend Bob paid me a visit over the weekend. I was so excited to have him over and take him around. He took along his partner Kelvin. Bob and Kelvin live in Shanghai and it was Kelvin’s first time in the Philippines. Every time I have visitors I always take them to Antonio’s in Tagaytay. It is simply the best restaurant in the Philippines!
I love what they did with the entrance foyer. The pale blue walls are just soothing and the photos on the walls gives this place a sense of heritage. It is like going to a house of a wealthy haciendero!
My troupe and I had a “breather” in Los Angeles before coming home! It was going to be unhealthy if we headed home straight to Manila! Imagine traveling for more than 30 hours? Hence we happily made a pit stop to LALALAND!!!! We only had one thing on our mind when we were there and that was SHOPPING!!!!! LOL! America is really a haven for shopping! They have the best priced items anywhere in the world and so we headed to favorite shopping haunts. Topping that list is COSTCO! LOL!
The Tropa with our friend Grace Llamanzares in front of COSTCO! had to pose here because everyone wanted to go here first! LOL!
Our whirlwind marathon across South America was coming to a close and we were determined to squeeze out more juice from our trip in our last day. Our flight home was scheduled at around 10pm leaving us with quite a number of activities to do. It was incredible how we were able to do so much in our last day. This entry is an account of our last day in South America. We could not have ended it better because we had a walking and living encyclopedia as our host/guide. His name is John Davis and the man is literally related to everyone in Peru! He is the perfect guide because he knows everyone. I loved our last day because he took us on an insiders guide to Lima.
Our fist visit was the hotel Maury where the famous Pisco sour was created! It was a nice little hotel with amazing mirrors.
After Cusco we fly back to Lima for more sightseeing and information on this amazing country called Peru! I have always been interested in Incan art and often felt a similarity with our own Philippine tribal art. We visited the Museo Numismatico del Peru which is free to the public and was so amazed by the beauty of the Incan gold!
Inside the museum, which used to be the central bank.
I am so going to the exhibition of Tom Epperson tonight! Tom is a very talented photographer who I have had the pleasure working with several times, I love his images and I cannot wait to see what he is up to next! Tom is also the husband of my friend Jenny Epperson! I think it will be open for everyone to see so head over to Makati Shangrila and get some “ICE” into your head! This might help alleviate all of us from this HEAT!!!! I attached some links here so that you can see more images!
