Noel’s Dinner!

My friend, Noel de la Rama, is a sought-after personal chef in NYC!  His clients sound like you’re reading People or OK magazine!  I had the privilege of experiencing his cuisine in New York and it was really good!  He recently cooked for me and a few friends over at the exquisite home of the Rodriquez’s .   I always get excited and look forward to visiting their home because it is so inspiring to be surrounded by their aura and their outstanding art collection!  I am a huge fan of Junie Rodriguez’s work and every chance I get to see, it leaves me glowing.

I love how Junie's compositions just leave me breathless!

The mix of guests could not be more perfect and comforting!  I love how in one table we are able to mix various age groups and still carry a vibrant conversation.  In many ways this felt like family!  LOUD, HAPPY and full of LOVE!

You could really feel the love that night.  Noel started cooking at 2pm and did not stop till we sat down the table.  He said that the menu was typical of what he would do at the Hampton’s so this was cool!   I have never been to the Hampton’s  LOL!  At least now I know what they eat there.

The food was above and beyond!  We started with some salad which was earthy and refreshing.  Then we moved on to some fish with a light tomato sauce and then the most delicious brown rice pilaf I have ever had!  I had to have two servings of the pork loin with the mustard and mushroom sauce because it was just cooked to perfection!

The fist course! Fried fish with tomato sauce! So simple yet so beautiful!

The meal ended with Noel’s famous Apple pie which literally felt and tasted like HEAVEN!  We then moved to the living room for more animated stories and lots of laughter!  When I left, I prayed to God for more evenings like this because I really felt so blessed and thankful just for being there.

 One big happy family!
