Back to LA-LA LAND!
Saturday, March 27th, 2010Greetings from LA-LA LAND!!! I amright now on route to what I call “The Trip of a lifetime”!!! Nix and I decided to have a breather before heading off to South America. Otherwise we would be in airplanes and airports for at least 35 hours and that, in anyone’s language is not cool!

Since this Dec I switched my luggages to RIMOWA! There are simply the most convenient travel suitcase in the market! They are so easy to travel with and not to mention so light!

Nix gave me one for Christmas and I asked everyone in my family/friends to chip in on my "RIMOWA"fund and was able to get a second one! I feel so CHIC when I travel with them because they just swivel and move so elegantly!

I was so lucky that I was able to use my Cathay Pacific miles on this trip! Here is my seat! I love Cathay Pacific as they have really the coolest In-flight entertainment! The down side to this is I hardly get any sleep because I end up watching all the movies! This trip I was able to watch. AN education (which was brilliant )and The 2009 best foreign film The Prophet (Dark and moving).
What I love about Los Angeles is its weather! It is always bright and sunny here. I have never seen a cloudy sky ever. We arrived at 2 in in the afternoon leaving plenty of room to shake off some jet-lag and do some “routines”.

When we got out of the airport I was greeted by 2 gigantic cherry blossom trees! Spring is definitely upon us! I took this as a omen that this will be a really fantastic trip! Aren't they just divine!

I told you California has the bluest skies! I took a photo of this really cool "Jetsonesque" structure on the way out of the airport. My guess is this is early 60's? I found it really cool? I wonder if this is the LAX control room?

LA is all about the car and the highway for me! It is so massive that your constantly driving around.
First stop is the IN-N- OUT burger! LOL! I do no know whywe always end up there but it seems when were in California the need to ingest some all american hamburgers and french fries become a priority! LOL! I love IN-N-OUT because you can really taste the quality! It’ s really good!

Our first stop! LOL! I did not get to photograph our food! Gutom level high! LOL! Google it later! LOL!
Next stop is TARJAY!!!! LOL!!! I LOOOOOOOVE TARGET!!!!! In fact we head on sometime before dropping our luggage’s off! LOL! I will make a separate entry for that because I discovered something really special there on this trip! Anyhoo! here are some random photos from my day!

Dropped off our things at my Aunts place and admired her garden! Check her orchids out?!!! OMG!!! She just grows this herself!

This is my niece Anya Teves-Hermoso! She is one of the coolest kids I know!

Nix loved this Thai place that he ate in las time he was here so we went back. It was really good! Home cooked Thai food with a Cali spin to it. Nix with Anya!
HUGS!

LA Highlights
Saturday, November 14th, 2009I have always loved the LA lifestyle, it’s so chill and relaxed and light. I have so many friends and family who live around the LA area, so I come visit quite often. What I love about this town is the weather, I mean the sun is always out and I don’t recall a cloudy day in LA ever.
I also love shopping in LA; unlike NY where you have to lug and carry everything that you buy. Since everyone drives in California, you end up shopping and driving. Here are some of my LA highlights before I head home to Manila! I cannot wait to come home as I miss my bed and I miss my work!

Perfect weather always!
