I am going to miss this!

I just had a wonderful weekend in Misibis! It is probably my favorite resort getaway in the country! I had the best villa this visit! Nix and I would like debate whether we would like stay inside or enjoy the sun. Good thing the villa had these gigantic windows and you could feel the sun shine through! Plus the beds were GINORMOUS! LOL! It was difficult to leave, but it’s December and we have so much to do! Just wanted to share with you my latest Misisbis resort shots!

Ria & Derrick’s Wedding

My dear friends Derrick Santos and Ria Romero recently got married and I just wanted to share with you my wonderful photos from their beautiful wedding. They decided to have their wedding at Misibis Bay resort all the way in Legaspi. If you have been following my blog, you all know that I am a big fan of the resort. This is actually the first time that the resort will be hosting a wedding, so I was really excited to see what they would be doing. If everything goes right, then they can really position themselves as a premiere wedding destination.

WELL… The wedding was absolutely perfect! I do not know how they manage to whittle down the guest list to a wee 112 guests! That is a feat in itself! LOL! I really love small intimate weddings; they are really the best! I have known Ria since I was like 6 years old! OMG! So it was so wonderful to see her so happy on her wedding day! Enough talk…enjoy the pictures!

I am a huge fan of the Misibis bay resorts! This year alone I have been back 3 times and each time I had a really fabulous time! Here is the staff welcoming the guests with a song and dance number.

The koi fishes were excited to see me! LOL!

Chopper Views!

One of the most fun things I recently did is to ride a helicopter! I got invited to do a chopper ride to check out the Mayon Volcano up close and to see the Cagraray Island (this is where the Misibis Bay resort is located) from a aerial vantage point. I felt like I was 7 years old again!

I got up at 6: 30am, as this was the best time to visit the volcano. Apparently, the early morning winds make it safer to go up close the crater. The ride was really smooth until we got close to the Mayon, then it became choppy. The strong winds prevented us from coming closer to the top. I really did not care though, as I was just happy to be up in the clouds looking at the fantastic views! The chopper we took had these super large windows which made the trip more exciting! The whole trip was like 25 minutes long, but it felt like I was just up there for 5 minutes! Time really flies when you’re having fun!

I woke up really early to take this chopper up in the sky!

The Long Weekend

I am loving all these long weekends that we are having. It gives me a chance to escape and seek adventure. When I heard that my friend Tessa Valdes and her family were heading to the Misibis Bay resort, I just had to tag along. We left on a Saturday at the break of dawn and took the first flight to Legaspi. We were bummed out that the plane was delayed for an hour, but we were rewarded by the beautiful sight of the MAYON volcano with all its glory! I took this as a sign that we will be having a really fantastic weekend! I decided to break my trip down to several posts as I took more that 300 photos! LOL! Enjoy the pictures!

I was traveling with the entire Valdes family and our fave girl friends Leica and Joanna. Here were are lounging at the airport waiting for our delayed flight.

When we were about to land Nix pointed out the Mayon Volcano to me! I was so excited as it was so clear! Legend has it that the Mayon only shows herself to those who deserves to see her beauty! Well....We should be so lucky! As she was in all her glory!

I took it as a sign that this would be a really fantastic weekend!

Before heading out to our resort we stopped by the airport gift shop and loaded up on the best looking bags in the region! Check this one out?

These were designed by my dear friend Marissa Andal. The consumate shopper Tessa cleaned the racks out of the store in less that 10 minutes! The poor sales person must have been so overwhelmed as Tessa must have bought 20 bags or more! LOL!
