When you get invited to a lunch with Piolo Pascual you have to drop everything and just go! LOL! This opportunity does not come often! HAHAHA!

Well, hello Gorgeous! I like his hair better short.

OMG! I just have to share this with all of you! Piolo Pascual was just in my studio and he certainly made the earth move under my feet! LOL! He looks at you with these piercing brown eyes and you literally melt! This man is a MAJOR MAJOR HEARTTHROB!
So this is the story. I was asked if they could film in my shop for an upcoming project with KC. I did not even hesitate……I said yes in a nano second! I mean, it’s Piolo, right?
So there I was, pretending to do some overtime, but in reality, I was just waiting for him to come to my office for the shoot! LOL! I have never seen my entire team shiver with delight and glee. We all turned into awkward 16 year-olds blushing at the sight of Piolo! I was not alone, as I had a dinner to go to and they were still shooting; my entire barangay Poblacion came out to witness this gorgeousness of manhood!
What I really like about him is he is genuinely nice! NO AIRS at all! I was also delighted that my friend KC came to visit! LOL! All in all, it was one MAJOR KILIG MOMENT!

My store virtually became the center of attention in our Barangay! Hordes of people were waiting excitedly for the movie stars!

Ever since the Cinemalaya film festival started 5 years ago, I always made it a point to watch the movies. I am always in awe of the amount of artistic talent we have in our country, and Cinemalaya is living proof of this. Last week, I had the chance to come to the opening night. Each year, the festival seems to get bigger and brighter. This year’s opening night was jam-packed with people. Even with a strong eminent typhoon whipping Manila, the droves of people still came.
I wonder if this was because of Piolo Pascual, whose movie “MANILA” was the one chosen for the opening night? I swear to all of you, he really is super handsome! The CCP main theater was filled with shrieking fans! I would have shrieked too if I did not have a stronger grip on my emotions! LOL! After all, I was seated only one seat behind Piolo! AYAYAY! LOL!
This year’s set of competing movies are quite strong. I hope to find the time to see everything! I suggest that all of you to find the time to go to the CCP and experience this special festival! It lasts only till this Sunday, July 25! Trust me on this one, you only leave the cinema inspired and touched by the images and the stories our filmmakers tell! BRAVO CINEMALAYA!

Opening night had the Philippine Ballet dancers do their thing! I just love dancers! They truly have the best bodies! LOL!

This is the award given at the end of the festival. It is called a "Balanghay," inspired by an ancient Philippine boat that could travel very long distances. Just like the movies the Cinemalaya creates, they go to different countries showing them all our stories.

Nix with Tess Rances. Without Tess, we would not have been able to get our seats! Thank you so much!

Piolo Pascual giving a short speech about his movie Manila. It's a retelling of 2 iconic Filipino films, "Maynila sa Kuko ng Liwanag" and "Jaguar." It's like a fusion movie. I found the images so beautifully disturbing. Watch it and be enthralled by Piolo's powerful acting!

I also want to see "Dinig Sana Kita." It's from the same makers of "The Dawn" band movie of last year.

On the 1st level of the CCP they have an installation of the various props from the competition movies this year. I found that so compelling, as you could feel and see the spirit of the movie already! Here are some props from the movie "Engkwentro."
