Tessa’s Russian Christmas!

If you have been following my blog, you know that I am very close to “The Sea Princess” otherwise known in our part of the world as Tessa Valdes. She is family. In fact, her youngest daughter Athena is my godchild. Tessa and I have seen the world together. From the mountains of Machu Pichu to the wilderness of the Okovango Delta, the Pyramids of Egypt, the hot boys of Bondi beach and many many more places.

I love traveling with Tessa because everyday is just full of joy and laughter! Early this year, we both travelled to one of our dream destinations…RUSSIA! We were deeply enthralled, to the point that I dedicated my holiday collection to this and Tessa based her famous Christmas party on Russia.

Tessa had several christmas trees all over her house! This one was blue and had lots of glass ornaments.

Looks like all her tables have been Tessa-fied! LOL!

I could not count how many Matryoshka dolls were in Tessa's house.

Countless! They were everywhere!

This one was the enchanted white forest where later we all could lounge and hang out.

More dolls in various sizes! I wonder where Tessa got all these? I was with her the whole time in Russia and I swear she did not buy this much dolls! Hmmmm????

Now Tessa is one of the best party hosts I have ever met and she always throws the best parties. If you’re lucky enough to get an invitation, my advice is DO NOT MISS IT! You are in for one AMAZING time!

My friend Scho Parpan- Richardson is here for the holidays so I asked Tessa if I could take her along. We arrived at her home and the whole place was decorated to the hilt! It was as if we walked into all the Russian fairy tales that we read. There were literally hundreds of Matryoshka dolls all over her house. She had me make one for her and if you scroll down to my older post, you would see what I did for her. I really had a great time doing it. In fact, I was so happy that my doll won a prize. Actually all the dolls won prizes as Tessa never believes that anyone leaves her house without a prize. She prepared a ton of games that left everyone on their toes.

There were also several special numbers that Tessa prepared, she had ballerinas, acrobats, singers and many more! It was truly a joyful Russian Christmas at the Valdes home. This tireless woman who dedicates more than 3/4 of the year helping charities and donating most of her time and effort towards philanthropy. I am so blessed to have her in my life and I am deeply thankful for the friendship! MERRY CHRISTMAS my darling Tessa! С Рождеством всех, и я молюсь за мир сегодня и навсегда! If you love Barbie, then I suggest you head out to the Rockwell Powerplant mall NOW! My dear Tessa Valdes has organized a Barbie charity event for Bantay Bata! She asked several of the Philippines’ top designers and many new names! My Barbies are there too and I hope that all of you come and visit the exhibit and auction! I want Cecile Zamora’s Barbie! I hope I get it! LOL!

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!!! Hope you’re all starting the Lunar new year right by eating Tikoy and wearing bright colors! It has been our gang’s tradition to usher in the new year with our sea princess Tessa Valdes! She has been hosting the Chinese new years festivities at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Manila for several years now and we, her friends, join her in the celebration!

This year is actually Tessa’s year as she is born on the year of the Rabbit. This year is all about romance and love! How exciting! Mandarin Oriental Manila really gave us a spectacular evening starting out with a blessing ceremony on Ayala avenue and then the most amazing firework display created by Enchanted Kingdom which lit up the Makati skyline for which seem like forever!

We all then went to the main ball room for an 8 course yummy lauriat that filled our bodies with lucky food! There were also lots of Moet Champagne flowing, making everyone really happy! Tessa and Tim hosted the evening, in between raffle prizes and Chinese dancers from the Ling Nnam group. Nix was extra lucky because he won VIP tickets to Ballet Philippines Don Quixote! YAAAY! There were lots of prizes given away that night, even a trip to Sanya, China!

Christmas with the Sea Princess!

The highlight of my Christmas party circuit is always the party of my dear Tessa Valdes! She never fails to amaze me with her dizzying concepts of decorations and themes! This year was no different! A mash up of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan! She transformed her home into an enchanted forest filled with fairies, flowers and real life baby bunnies! What I love about Tessa and her parties is that she creates a tapestry of friends from all her activities and we all have a fantastic time! She has her Marathon mates, Yoga Buddies, Showbiz citizens, Socialites , business partners and family! This is her life and we’re all together celebrating another year of laughter and joy!

I arrived with my friends Marc, JR, Victor, Divine, Nix ( We were asked to come in floral attire and Nix in my book won the best dressed!) and Tim!

One room was just all desserts! It felt very Marie Antoinette! So many many many cakes!

I for one am a Tessa- Disciple! Meaning, I lead a life based on her principles. A life filled with POSITIVITY and GENEROSITY! A life that just like Tessa is lived to the fullest! Enjoy some of the photos of our Christmas Party with the Sea Princess!

COFFEE TALK!

I recently was invited to a really interesting event sponsored by HSBC. It is called Coffee talk, this is in conjunction with their partnership with starbucks coffee. Meaning with each 2000 pesos you spend using your HSBC credit card you get your cup of JAVA from Starbucks! How awesome is that?

This is part 2 already of their coffee talk and this time the topic was FASHION! Actually it was like fashion and a bit of politics but Fashion can be more fun! They invited my dear friends Tessa Valdes, Robby Carmona, Mich Dulce and Romina Urra-Gonzales to be in the panel to discuss the state of fashion worn by the leaders of our land!

Got in the shang and bumped into the moderator of the event RJ Ledesma wearing a similar violet gingham shirt! I LOVE IT!!!!

It was really hilarious and most of the good parts were “off the record” but in the end I think what all of us wanted was just to make everyone look good! We all make fashion mistakes, we just have to realize that these are mistakes so we can learn from them!
